What does Indexhog actually do?

It watches the URLs your sitemap declares and tells you whether each one can be indexed and whether search engines have indexed it. When that changes — a noindex appears, a redirect chain forms, a page drops out — you get told, instead of finding out from a traffic chart weeks later.

Does it submit my pages to Google?

No, and no tool honestly can. IndexNow submissions reach Bing, Yandex, Naver, and Seznam. For Google there is no submission protocol, so we read what Google reports through Search Console instead — you see what Google decided, per URL, rather than a promise that we pushed it.

Will it tell me why I am not ranking?

No. Ranking is deliberately out of scope. This answers whether a page can be indexed and whether it is indexed — a narrower question with a definite answer. If a page is not in the index at all, that is worth ruling in or out first.

Do I need this if I already have Search Console?

On a small site you can check by hand, probably not — Search Console is free and authoritative. It becomes worth paying for when you have more URLs than you can eyeball, ship changes often, and need to be told rather than remember to look.

How does it decide which URLs to watch?

Your sitemap is the unit of truth. We monitor what your site declares about itself rather than turning a crawler loose on every link, so the cost tracks the inventory you publish instead of however deep a crawler wanders.

How many sites can I monitor?

Each site is a project. Every workspace can manage up to 100 projects, with up to 100,000 sitemap URLs in each project. Business is only needed for team and governance features.

One credit funds one completed URL run: health checks, first-time IndexNow submission, and connected Google/Bing checks. Discovery and URL ingestion are free. Packs contain 5,000 credits, cost $20, and expire after 12 months.

How are URL inspections performed?

New pages are checked and submitted automatically once IndexNow is verified and credits are available. Google and Bing are optional. Repeat checks are off by default; enable them hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly. Pages that cannot be indexed stop after their health check and use one credit. Incomplete checks are refunded.
